Ep. 37. You choose your body
Since we’ve already talked about blueprint and platform of life, I thought it may be easier to throw you all another concept: you choose your body. As I mentioned in the previous episode, we set a blueprint before we reincarnate into this life. Our blueprint lays out what purpose we are here to achieve and what tasks of life we are here to overcome. In order to fulfil this purpose, we setup a platform where everyone could be a leading character in their own role while playing on the same stage. (In human perception, you may be convinced that there’s only one leading character in a movie. But in life, everyone is the leading character from their perspective.) As in movie, we all know that we will have to be certain look, dress, act, think and talk certain way in order to make believe the role we play, right? Well, that’s no different from the role we play in our life either.
We choose this well-design and specific body so we can fulfil ‘that’ purpose of life, over come ‘that’ task of life and also find ‘that’ special someone that we’ve always searching for. Of course, many will argue that not everyone is born healthy and perfect. Some may be born with deformity even. Here I will name Nick Vujicic (here is his website: http://www.lifewithoutlimbs.org/) as an example. He was born without arms and legs. People may not have hope in him when he was young, believing that a man with only a torso could not accomplish anything in life, but he is now the most inspirational speaker out there who inspires thousands of life. He might have chosen this body so he was forced to deal with the harhest criticism and leaned to appreciate himself as he is. he might have set a purpose of life to prove to the world that ‘nothing is impossible’, and he is now fulfiling that purpose of life. He is living a life like any living soul, he enjoys sports (which people never thought possible), having family, and the most important thing of all, his being simply inspire many others in the world. He, for being who he is, inspired thousands of people in the world. He makes people believe that if he could do it, so could we.
Here is another example for you; there’s a girl in my Zumba class who does not have legs. She came to zumba with a pair of artifical legs. At first, people might not know what to make of her. But by her being so comfortable with herself, she inspired everyone in the class. If she could do it, we have no reason to complain that we can’t.
You may be convinced by your enviroment, society or even media that you are not good enough. You started to complain that you are too tall, too short, too skinny, too fat or too whatever… But the truth is, everything you are is the perfect body you could have ask for to fulfil your purpose of life. Put other people in your shoe, they may not even know what to do to fulfil that purpose without having your body. Try talking to a short person about the inconvience of being tall, they may end up frowning and questioning you “what do you mean?”. Same thing will apply to life.
Take me for example, growing up in Taiwan, I was too tall and too dark, not to mention that I have a pair of muscular legs that I simply could not rid. People called me all kind of names, and my mother even tried various way to whiten my skin. I grew up believing that everything I have is wrong, and was convinced that I need to try everything I can to hide those qualities of mine. I often walked with hunchback because I was told that I will never find a boyfriend with my height. It was not until that I was fed up by it and decided to embrace this is who I am that I slowly discover a brand new world. I no longer allow people’s like or dislike to define me. If people didn’t like me, I take it as a clear sign that ‘you are not the one for me’ and move on with my life. Then I met my husband and moved to Canada. It’s like a completely different world than what I was taught to know. People liked my skin color because they think I must be on vacation all the time (which I don’t), and my height is no longer an issue here. Not to mention that my muscular legs that I hated so much when I was young, is actually what my husband likes the most. Here is the perfect example to tell you that you may not know why you choose your body, but it would eventually make sense to you if you keep living your life with faith.
To conclude this, you choose your body particularly so you can overcome your task and fulfil your purpose of life. This body is not randomly picked, it’s well thought through and designed so it could work all agenda you’ve plan in your blueprint. Understand that this is your only vehicle to go from A to B, you will then learn to take care of this body. You will not let anyone to tell you how imperfect you are, because they are not working your task and fulfiling your life for you. You have the perfect body for your life and the life you are going to create for yourself. So treat it well and give it some respect, you will be surprise to find out how much it will help you with a smoother drive in life, and you will love it as well.
