Forgotten Egypt I- Nefayiati Paperback – May 1, 2013

Nefayiati. The beautiful ray has come.

It was a name that suited her, and yet somehow didn’t. She was beautiful, stunningly so, but she felt more like the mud of the riverbed than the sun in the sky. This was the life of the poor – ignored, unseen. And she wanted so much more.

The Palace.

It shone on the edge of Thebes like a refuge, and she knew this was where her fortunes would change, if only she could escape her home and find a way in. Love, life, hope, a chance – everything lay within those walls. She had everything to gain, and nothing to lose. Or so she thought.

In this twisting, historical tale of love and desperation, we follow Nefayiati, a slave, as she navigates a complicated and often treacherous relationship with Egypt’s ruling dynasty. The Palace, once a symbol of hope, becomes her prison. But helping hands emerge from the most unseen corners, and allies turn to lovers. Torn between Jared, the Queen’s guard, and a mysterious crown prince, Nefayiati soon learns that the hearts of all royals are not stone, but that her own heart might be.

Note

Nefayiati is the first book of the Forgotten Egypt Serie that I finished in 2009.   This book took me 10 days to complete, but 4 years to get it edited and published. There were too many unexplainable things happened during the process that it still took me time to process within myself.
